Enabling circular textiles
The fashion industry loses $100 billion in materials annually
Most garments are destroyed or downcycled after disposal, with less than 1% being recycled into high-quality materials. eeden is harnessing the vast potential of textile waste by scaling its patented recycling technology to recover the high-quality materials of tomorrow.
The material value chains of the future will be circular – there’s no way around it. This shift unlocks enormous ecological and economic potential, giving us independence from finite raw materials. At eeden, we’re enabling this transformation, driving circularity in both the textile and raw material industries.
Our mission
We are committed to transforming textile waste into reusable materials, driving the industry towards circularity, and reducing the need for virgin resources.
Solving the poly-cotton challenge in textile recycling
More and more textiles are made from cotton and polyester blends – partly to increase durability and partly to reduce costs. However, these blended textiles pose a significant challenge for traditional recycling processes, which typically focus on either cotton or polyester. eeden’s process efficiently recovers both fiber components, minimizing waste and maximizing the yield from each garment.
Turning textile waste into a valuable resource
eeden’s technology recovers cellulose from cotton and breaks polyester down into its basic components. These materials are then transformed into new, high-quality textile fibers. Compared to producing new materials, our chemical recycling process uses significantly less water, requires no arable land, avoids pesticides, and leverages textile waste as a resource.
